Skinny Dipping Sick Day | SONG

Skinny Dipping Sick Day
Written by: Christopher Williams

Oh, yeah, the sun is shining, and there ain't no rain
I've done called my baby, I'm on my way
On a day this hot, there's only one thing to do
Gonna find a water hole, since we don't have a pool

We're gonna go skinny dipping, and have some fun
Lay on the bank under that summer sun
I've called in sick and that's the truth
Cuz I'm sick and tired of missing you

Oh, baby, you got that body, you like to show it off
Just for my eyes only, and nobody else at all
I really love it, so I'm not complaining
Ain't that just our luck, It's started raining

Only one thing to do, let's head for the truck
If it starts getting cold, Baby, I'll warm you up
We're nowhere near the water, but we're still getting wet
If you're liking this, then you'll love what comes next...

We're fogging the windows of my Chevrolet
Is it hot in here, or is it just you? Haha
We have to do this again, soon... How 'bout tomorrow?
I still feel a stuffy nose... sore throat...

Country Ain't Country | SONG

Country Ain't Country
Written by: Christopher Williams

The first time I heard Taylor Swift
I damn near threw a fit
I told the DJ to play some Cash
Or else I'd whip his ass
Cuz country ain't country today

I really never understood
What's so great 'bout Underwood
She came from reality TV
Putting pop in my country
And country ain't country today

With the songs these stations play
Ol' Waylon's rollin' in his grave
How did we get where we are
Since we've lost the steel guitar?
I can't hear those fiddles sound
With the drums in the background
All this will get fixed, I pray
Cuz country ain't country today

I can't stand queers like Rascal Flatts
The Oak Ridge Boys never sounded like that
Boy bands have no place in country
I bet there's a few more who think like me
Cuz country ain't country today

With the songs these stations play
Chris LeDoux's rollin' in his grave
How did we get where we are
Since we've lost the steel guitar?
I can't hear those fiddles sound
With the drums in the background
All this will get fixed, I pray
Cuz country ain't country today

Yeah, you know, with these songs these days
Ol' Conway's rollin' in his grave
Tell that DJ just what you want him to play
Play me some Jones, Hank, Willie, and Strait!
Cuz country just ain't country today...

Before the Sun Goes Down | SONG

Before the Sun Goes Down
Written by: Christopher Williams

I'm flying down this old highway
Driving in my Chevrolet
Headed toward that sinking sun
I swear I can feel my heart break
As I'm driving, driving away
And I'm about to come undone

These tears are falling faster
And my heart's about to shatter
I'm not really sure how long I can last
This truck ain't the only thing going fast
So, I've got to find somewhere to turn around
And get back to you before the sun goes down

When I reach that city limit sign
I realize that I'm not fine
So, I search the radio for our song
In your arms is where I should be lying
And maybe I wouldn't be crying
Cuz this leaving you is so wrong

These tears are falling faster
And my heart's about to shatter
I'm not really sure how long I can last
This truck ain't the only thing going fast
So, I've got to find somewhere to turn around
And get back to you before the sun goes down

These tears are falling faster
My heart's headed for disaster
I'm not really sure how long I can last
This truck ain't the only thing going fast
So, here I go, I'm about to turn right around
And get back to you before the sun goes down

I'm Back In Memphis | SONG

I'm Back In Memphis
Written by: Christopher Williams

I've spent all of last night in Baton Rouge
I've been to New York City, and Fort Worth too
Babe, I know its hard, and I'm so proud of you
But there it is now, it's coming into view

It's that city limit sign pointing the way
It's so inviting, It makes me want to stay
There you are, on the bed is where you lay
So, here I am, I'm back in Memphis today

I've spent most of this year out on the road
I've been to California, and back to Idaho
I still can't believe that you still love me so
You've decided to stay, when others would go

But it's that city limit sign pointing the way
It's so inviting, It makes me want to stay
There you are, on the bed is where you lay
So, here I am, I'm back in Memphis today

Yeah, it's that city limit sign pointing the way
It's so inviting, It makes me want to stay
There you are, on the bed is where we lay
So, here I am, I'm back in Memphis today

So, here I am, I'm back in Memphis to stay

Since The Day You Broke My Heart | SONG

Since The Day You Broke My Heart
Written by: Christopher Williams

It all just came out of the blue
I found that letter from you
It turned my skies a dark shade
Even in the brightness of day

Since the day you broke my heart
I just sit here in the dark
So I can't see that I'm all alone
Or sitting here in an empty home
Cuz you took everything when you left
I can't believe I'm such a mess

My heart must be made of glass
It shattered just like that
I couldn't believe it at first
And it's only getting worse

Since the day you broke my heart
I just sit here in the dark
I finally see how bad I shattered
Around this room I'm scattered
You destroyed everything when you left
I can't believe I'm such a mess

I swear I heard your voice today
Maybe the darkness is driving me insane

Since the day you broke my heart
I just sit here in the dark
It seems with every move I make
I'm held tighter in this place
I'm unable leave here since you left
I can't believe I'm such a mess

As Smart As Me | SONG

As Smart As Me
Written by: Christopher Williams

You know that I love you, I really do
And you're so very beautiful, it's true
So we got married, oh, yes we did
Then came the talk about having kids
But I really hope that luck is on our side
Cuz there's something we just can't hide

You might be the girl who stole my heart
But honey, we know I'm the one who's smart
And this old world is so cruel and unfair
So if our kids are gonna make it out there
Which is something I'd love to see
They need to be as smart as me

This big old world revolves on how you look
That's all it takes to get a guy on your hook
You might have the kind of looks that kill
But you don't have a single handy skill
I'm always the one who has to cook and clean
And I always have to do all the laundry

You might be the girl who stole my heart
But honey, we know I'm the one who's smart
And this old world is so cruel and unfair
So if our kids are gonna make it out there
Which is something I'd love to see
They need to be as smart as me

Now, honey, I really don't mean to run you down
But there's more that makes this world go 'round

You might be the girl who stole my heart
But honey, we know I'm the one who's smart
And this old world is so cruel and unfair
So if our kids are gonna make it out there
Which is something I'd love to see
They need to be as smart as me

The Cowboy Way of Life | SONG

The Cowboy Way of Life
Written by: Christopher Williams

Well, I was standing there in line
Behind an old cowboy friend of mine
I could hear it all a little too well
As all my friend's wife did was yell
They tell you that cowboy's never cry
But truth be told, that's just a lie

It's just the cowboy way of life
That takes it's toll on the wife
It's the broken bones and the blood
And falling face first in the mud
That lets you know that you're alone
That makes you start missing home

I watched him as he hung up the phone
And I grew a little worried to call home
I had no idea what I would even say
So I turned around and simply walked away
I felt the dust kicked up by the strong wind
I felt lonesome, not knowing when I'd call again

It's just the cowboy way of life
That takes it's toll on the wife
It's the broken bones and the blood
And falling face first in the mud
That lets you know that you're alone
That makes you start missing home

With every ride, I was banged and bruised
With every win, I could only think of you
So after my final ride, I dialed home
I kept praying that you'd pick up the phone

It's just the cowboy way of life
That takes it's toll on the wife
It's the broken bones and the blood
And falling face first in the mud
That lets you know that you're alone
That makes you start missing home

"Hello, baby, you've been gone for too long
Don't you worry, now come on home."
