Since The Day You Broke My Heart | SONG

Since The Day You Broke My Heart
Written by: Christopher Williams

It all just came out of the blue
I found that letter from you
It turned my skies a dark shade
Even in the brightness of day

Since the day you broke my heart
I just sit here in the dark
So I can't see that I'm all alone
Or sitting here in an empty home
Cuz you took everything when you left
I can't believe I'm such a mess

My heart must be made of glass
It shattered just like that
I couldn't believe it at first
And it's only getting worse

Since the day you broke my heart
I just sit here in the dark
I finally see how bad I shattered
Around this room I'm scattered
You destroyed everything when you left
I can't believe I'm such a mess

I swear I heard your voice today
Maybe the darkness is driving me insane

Since the day you broke my heart
I just sit here in the dark
It seems with every move I make
I'm held tighter in this place
I'm unable leave here since you left
I can't believe I'm such a mess

Depressing indeed. I dare not ask what thou inspiration was. Entirely made up with no element of truth in it, I hope?

There's always an element of truth in my writings and songs. Whether or not it's from my own experiences or not is in question. I suppose this one is, though. I mean, nothing bad. It's not the we've broken up, just being apart from her makes it feel like this, I guess.
