28 Days | SONG

28 Days
Written by: Christopher Williams

I stood there, until she was out of town
I guess I hoped that, she would turn around
Last night I cried until I drowned
She said she'd be back, but in 28 days
I swear I could feel my poor heart break
Everyone said that I would be OK

But 28 days feels like 28 lifetimes
When she asks, I just tell her I'm doing fine
I have to lie, so she can't tell I've been cryin'
I wish that I were just a little stronger
So maybe I could hold on a little longer
Until once again I can be able to hold her

Sometime in the night, I called out her name
Her absence sure brings me a lot of pain
I hold onto her pillow, but its not the same

Cuz 28 days feels like 28 lifetimes
When she asks, I just tell her I'm doing fine
I have to lie, so she can't tell I've been cryin'
I wish that I were just a little stronger
So maybe I could hold on a little longer
Until once again I can be able to hold her

My mind has forgotten how she looks
I can't find the pictures that we took
My nose has forgotten how she smells
Everyday without her is like hell

And 28 days feels like 28 lifetimes
When she asks, I just tell her I'm doing fine
I have to lie, so she can't tell I've been cryin'
I wish that I were just a little stronger
So maybe I could hold on a little longer
Until once again I can be able to hold her
